This Alternative Burger Recipe is Made with Traditional Sushi Ingredients
Alyson Wyers — March 31, 2016 — Lifestyle
These sushi burgers are the perfect hybrid for people who love sushi as well as a burger. Created by @sobeautifullyraw on Instagram, the vegan sushi burger is a healthy alternative for those who do not eat any meat or animal by-products.
Jackfruit is used to mimic shredded Teriyaki chicken in between the rice burger buns. Other 'toppings' include avocado, pickled ginger, red cabbage and vegan mayo. The sushi burgers can be messy to eat, so Sam from Melbourne suggests eating with chopsticks or a fork. As per the suggestion of the Australian Instagrammer and "vegan food creatrix," the yummy recipe can also be consumed in a deconstructed form as a rice ball or sushi bowl.
