The supermarket Halloween campaign is a scarce initiative, however, British grocer Asda is one to keep the tradition alive.

In 2019, the company launches an add that is equal parts spooky and adorable. The video transports the viewer to the setting of a monster party, with a lush and thematically appropriate table setting. The ghoulish Halloween party is then interrupted by a knock on the door, where a group of kids -- all dressed up, of course, are waiting for their treats. The monsters seem terrified by the little ones, "in a simple-but-fun switcheroo."

Short and sweet, the supermarket Halloween initiative is clever as it really embraces that traditional October 31st spirit and all of the candy that is seamlessly inserted in the video is available for purchase at Asda locations.
