The SuperFoam chair by Rich Gilbert was an examination into man's supremacy over nature, or at least our abilities to manipulate nature's structures. The chair, as he says, “is a re-creation of naturally occurring reticulated foam structures.†Gilbert uses a casting process that allows him to manipulate and control the foam and form designs easily.
