Michael Hemsworth — May 7, 2020 — Art & Design
The 'Buckyball' chair has been designed by the Ukraine-based ODESD2 design studio as a seating solution for the modern living space that doesn't disappoint when it comes to comfort or style.
The chair is inspired by the structure of carbon molecules and is compressed of six spheres that are connected to one another to provide enhanced support for sitting or lying down. Each of the spheres in the chair are achieved with a mixture of PVC and silicone, and feature a hollow interior that is filled with air to provide enhanced support as well as comfort.
The 'Buckyball' chair can be used in a number of orientations to accommodate different sitting styles and can even be linked together in multiples to form larger seating solutions.
