Aldi's Sundae Shoppe Protein Pints are an Inexpensive Indulgence
Katherine Pendrill — August 9, 2018 — Lifestyle
In an effort to cater to the growing demand for high-protein, low-calorie ice creams, Aldi is offering an inexpensive new option with its new Sundae Shoppe pints. While the ice creams are just as tasty as similar brands, the affordable price tag is (quite literally) a major selling point.
Sold under the store brand Sundae Shoppe, Aldi's lineup of protein ice creams consist of creamy pints made with 20 to 24 grams of protein, and less than 300 calories. While the flavor range is limited, the brand offers three classic varieties: Chocolate, Vanilla Bean, and Mint Chip.
Of course, the main differentiator that sets the Sundae Shoppe brand apart is the low selling point. At just $3 per pint, the ice creams are about half the price of other protein pints.
