Kids can now report cyberbullying with the push of a button using the Stop!t app to astounding results. In fact, one school that tested it saw instances of cyberbullying decrease by 80%.
Developed by a concerned dad, the Stop!t app was designed to make it as easy as possible for kids to anonymously report mean messages online or in text message that grown-ups might miss. Inspired by the death of Amanda Todd, Stop!t founder Todd Schobel wanted to make a difference for his children. While other apps intended to prevent cyberbullying exist, this one is extremely easy to use.
Given one reason cyberbullies have such an impact is the lack of impunity, this app makes young people think twice about saying mean things via text or the Internet.
