It seems like the appreciation for natural light leaks that a photographer can experience with film cameras such as the popular Lomo has spawned into a whole other movement, which can be seen in the Soviet Swimming photo series. As though tie-dyed like a t-shirt from the 70s, this shoot has a vintage look that isn't entirely organic.
Shot by Italy-based photographer Stefan Giftthaler, who happens to have used this technique more than once, the Soviet Swimming photo series has a surreal quality to it since it appears as though it has been shot in the middle of a rainbow. Appearing in a recent issue of Qvest Magazine, the Soviet Swimming photo series is quietly magical, as though saying that summer can be full of enchanting experiences.
