A stunning new addition to the University of Southern Denmark campus in Odense, this building with serve as a shared research and education environment for the Technical Faculty. Designed by acclaimed architectural firm C. F. Møller, the structure consists of a glass house with a maximalist steel facade with circular cutouts in varying sizes. The new Technical Faculty building is complemented by landscape architecture by Schønherr Landskab.
The new University of Southern Denmark building was designed to fit in with the existing campus structures, a series of buildings by Krohn & Hartvig that speaks to 1970s structuralism.
The unique layout of the new structure actually includes five separate buildings, connected by the large steel facade.
