Architecture studio 3XN introduces a look at the designs for the Danish Centre for Coastal Nature and Sport Fishing. It is an oval structure that is decorated with tiles along the roof and nestled in Assens, Denmark. The studio explained the the main part of the cross structure is that it will form "different spaces and pockets both outdoors and indoors where people can meet and gather." It boasts two stories and is made from wooden materials, holding three spaces for exhibitions with a focus on the impact of humans and climate change at sea.
Head of design Jan Ammundsen states, "For us, it was important to design a building that is both simple and poetic. A building that fits into its surroundings, a building that is warm and welcoming, playful and full of experiences. The oval shape of the building makes it easily recognisable from all sides and provides a flexible layout. In addition, the focus is on warm, robust and natural materials with wood and tile. The design is compact, simple and sustainable."
