The new Solvay Headquarters is an important development for the company's overall ideology and ethos. As an international chemical company, Solvay is an important player in the worldwide efforts to reduce the potential harms that humanity is doing to the natural environment, and the new Solvay Headquarters is completely carbon neutral, thus demonstrating the corporation's commitment to green thinking.
The Solvay Headquarters was designed by international architecture firm Schmidt Hammer Lassen in collaboration with Modulo Architects and VK Engineers. The building, which will go up in Brussels, Belgium, places a tremendous amount of importance on sustainability, with a zero-carbon design and a nearly zero-energy design as well. The concept is expected to come to fruition in the very near future.
