180LA Used Select Snapchat Filters for Social Media Recruiting
Laura McQuarrie — May 6, 2016 — Marketing
In order to announce that is is hiring a social media manager in a creative way, 180LA set up a social media recruiting campaign on Snapchat.
Rather than just posting a message on a job board and hoping that the right person will see it, 180LA created geofilters that would show up when photos were taken at other San Francisco agencies. Since this new position would likely entail a move, these filters played up the benefits of moving to LA with fun phrases like "Same hustle, better view" and "It's sunnier in LA."
In the first 10 hours of these filters going live, more than 40 people reached out to 180LA to inquire about the social media manager position.
