Sara Blakely, founder of the billion-dollar shapewear company Spanx, launched a new footwear company called Sneex to take the pain out of high heels.
Sneex fuses the style of a classic high heel with the performance and comfort of a sneaker, introducing the footwear industry to hybrid heels, or "hy-heels," made with quality napa leather and suede from Italy and Spain. The company's debut styles include single strap, double strap and wide strap options in 10 colorways.
With Sneex, Blakely and her team are tackling three top pain points for women who wear high heels: a lack of support between the foot and the sole of the shoe, the uncomfortable feeling on the ball of the foot caused by unequal weight distribution and toes squeezed too tightly together.
