Envisioned and designed by artist Anish Kapoor, the Shooting into the Corner installation is violently astounding.
The art piece is a giant working cannon that shoots out giant balls, 11-kilograms in weight, of bright red wax at a corner of an all white room at 20-minute intervals. The result is an increasingly growing mess of blood-colored wax and splatter all over the walls and floor surrounding that corner. By continuously blasting the wall, the installation piece changes over time, making each view a completely new experience as the room slowly starts to fill up with more and more wax residue.
The Shooting into the Corner installation by Anish Kapoor is excitingly dynamic and satisfying to see.
