Shazam is Broadening its Services to Identify Songs on Other Apps
References: designtaxi
Shazam has been great at identifying songs for users when they are on the go and hear something that catches their attention. Now, it is adding another layer by applying the same service to other social media platforms as well. When users are browsing through YouTube TikTok, and Instagram, they are able to use the new feature on Shazam to identify songs that they come across.
It works in a similar matter -- open the app and press the blue button to start scanning the content. Go back to the social platform and start watching the video again and the feature taps into the device's microphone to detect the music being played. Once they head back to the Shazam app, there will be the song's information.
