As Serena Williams approaches making tennis history with a possible career grand slam, Gatorade is cheering her on with its 'Serena 21' art series.
The campaign involves an emotional commercial and a series of murals throughout New York City. The commercial by Gatorade uses old footage of Williams as a kid predicting future growth to stardom. Coinciding with the US Open held in New York, Gatorade is attempting to capitalize on a possibly historic accomplishment by Williams. In an ongoing effort, Gatorade asked fans all over the world to create 21 pieces of art to celebrate the number of all of Williams' major championships.
