Reading University's 'Beer Wall' Features 16 Varieties on Tap
Laura McQuarrie — September 26, 2017 — Lifestyle
Reading University recently unveiled a self-serve 'Beer Wall' at its student union, making it possible for students to pour and purchase their own pints just by tapping a debit or credit card, or another means of cashless payment.
The Beer Wall station features screens above each tap, which details the type of beer available, as well as information on pricing and the percentage of alcohol by volume. As well as helping to reduce the threat of theft, this innovative system also helps to significantly speed up service and increase the capacity of bars.
Following the implementation of the Beer Wall at this university, Drink Command will be launching its technology at bars and hotels across the UK and Ireland.
