Playland Created the World's First 'Scream Choir'
Laura McQuarrie — August 11, 2017 — Marketing
Earlier this summer, composer Bob Smart held auditions for a 'Scream Choir' for Playland, which resulted in the creation of unique performances shared throughout the city to give people a sense of the amusement park's atmosphere.
The members of the Scream Choir were conducted like musicians in a classical orchestra, with the only difference being that they used their voices as their instruments. When it came to giving the screamers direction, Smart asked the members of the Scream Choir to imagine their greatest fear.
Although all of the positions for Playland's Scream Choir have been filled, Playland is inviting people to make a visit to its amusement park in Vancouver, Canada, so that they may try out their own vocal chords and lungs on its rides.
