H&M's newest fashion collection for kids is a playful range of sustainable sci-fi kidswear that came out of the bottle2fashion project. H&M worked with Danone AQUA to take plastic bottle waste from the islands of Indonesia and repurpose these materials into recycled polyester.
The everyday designs for kids include t-shirts, long-sleeve tops, trousers, hoodies and socks that play with ombre, sports-inspired details, marbling, tie-dye and color-blocking. On the sustainable styles, kids will find favorite characters like Grogu (better known as Baby Yoda) from The Mandalorian and the Star Wars universe.
In 2021, the bottle2fashion project succeeded in collecting and recycling over 7.5 million PET bottles, which is more than double the amount from the previous year.
