Papa's Pilar Rum is launching a new 'Rye-Finished Rum' across the U.S. The new rum was made using the brand's Dark Rum, which is a mixture of liquids sourced from Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Panama, and more. With a delectable oak and coffee flavor, the alcohol has hints of coffee, baking spices, and dark chocolate. The rum is finished in a straight rye whiskey barrel made from white oak and can be enjoyed in any format.
The new expression was pioneered by Master Distiller Ron Call, a 7th-generation master distiller with 49 years of Master Distilling under his belt. The new rum combines Call's creativity and passion with his long history in the whiskey-making business.
“[...] Our new Rye-Finished Rum is an ode to Papa Hemingway who has inspired our dedication to innovation with his desire to constantly explore uncharted territories. We are looking forward to getting this into the hands of our fans as they embark on their own adventures," said Ron Call in a statement.
