A Russian women’s prison recently put together a beauty pageant for all the inmates to participate in. As far as beauty pageants go, this one seems to be quite unusual, but it did give the ladies a chance to escape reality and get made up for the day to strut their stuff.
A makeshift runway was placed in the middle of the prison courtyard and the inmates participated in a variety of challenges, including ballgown and, what looks to be, some sort of biker chic competition. The winner of the pageant was all smiles as she was crowned with her plastic tiara and given her winner’s sash while the audience celebrated with confetti.
