Yoga and running are two completely different types of activities, but 'Roga' aims to prove that there are benefits to practicing both.
Roga is a start-up that was founded by Jayne Rodgers, who works as a food and fitness blogger, as well as a business consultant and Holly McFree, an entrepreneur in the yoga space.
The intent of the program is to apply the healing, flexibility and mindfulness of yoga to running, while also lending the benefits of cardio training and strong stamina to a yoga practice. Classes are operated each week with a theme like agility, balance or the core that addresses the whole body. So far, Roga is having no trouble selling out all the spaces in its hybrid running-yoga workshops and hopes to further expand in the year ahead.
