The Aliens Caterpillar P-5000 Work Loader robotic baby carrier is as strange a baby carrier as they. The baby is essentially immobile (as most babies are) while the hulking machine carries them around.
The costume was inspired by the Alien film, and looks identical to the giant robot carrier from the movie. It was made by the 13 month-old baby's father, Carsten Riewe. The loader is completely safe even if it does move a little wobbly and the baby is strapped in completely to her safety harness. The baby carrier doesn’t only carry the baby, as it can also fit the father if he so wishes.
The arms and legs both work as well as the LED sitting on the top, making for a very realistic experience for a baby that probably hasn’t seen the movie.
