These 2014 inventions trends range from LED keyhole inserts that keep doorways illuminated at night along with hanging tablet holders that are convenient for long car rides. While the year's practical inventions like shoe-fastening magnets and butter spreading gloves were designed for consumer convenience, its sustainable products made more of an environmental impact.

From sewage fuel vehicles to solar-powered smartphone chargers, manufacturers started to take environmental issues more seriously when it came to their product designs.

In addition to ultra-convenient and eco-friendly products, some of the most memorable 2014 inventions trends also include finger print identifying locks and smartphone stimulating dishes that are integrated with the latest technology.
