The Respite

The Respite is a portable shelter designed by Ryan Heiser for people on the move. It easily transforms from a hammock when you need relaxation, to a tent when you need rest. Best of all, it conveniently folds into a lightweight backpack that is very easy to carry.
Featuring lightweight but strong red nylon and a steel tubing frame, the Respite utilizes a simple system to transform between hammock and tent modes, "When in its hammock state, you simply pull the four zippers to the floor, which in turn creates the form of a tent, while also making the structure a weather tight place to rest."
