Carhartt, an American brand that specializes in workwear apparel, has teamed up with resale platform Trove to create a new program for customers to go about trading in their worn but still highly useful Carhartt apparel in exchange for a digital gift card.
The 'Carhartt Reworked' resale platform is said to be the first of its kind in the workwear apparel market, and is said to be able to accept products that are less than a decade old and were priced at atleast $50 when the original purchase was made.
Carhartt is renowned for creating workwear apparel that is exceptionally durable and able to last for preposterously long periods of time, but the fact of the matter is that some consumers may need to move on from existing apparel pieces or no longer have use for them. By trading in used and mildly flawed pieces, consumers are empowered with the ability to keep their clothing out of landfills and enable buyers to get a deal, while getting a handy digital gift card for their own Carhartt purchases going forward.
