Some people, even if trained, would probably buckle under the pressure of performing a life-saving procedure such as CPR, which is why I would love to have access to the Reax resuscitation device.
Although just a concept, the Reax resuscitation device recently won third place at the Dyson Awards. Hopefully this recognition will spur someone to actually produce this automated CPR device.
Essentially, the Reax resuscitation device "compresses the entire chest at regular intervals and forces the blood into the brain more efficiently and more evenly than with a manual cardiac massage," according to creators Lars Imhof and Marc Binder.
