Seattle-based Ray Thomas has created a slew of ‘Hipster Playing Cards’ designs that are sure to resonate with anyone who is familiar with, or is in fact a member of, the often too-cool-for-school, urbane cultural elite.
In order to realize the designs with professional quality, Thomas called upon the aid of his graphic designer friend Andrew Kerr. The illustrations featured on these cards might lead one to believe that Thomas and Kerr are hipsters.
From dandified mustaches to kitschy glasses (that may or may not actually have lenses), Thomas and Kerr seem to be well acquainted with the 21st century subculture. For his part, Thomas claims he is not a hipster.
In all seriousness, Thomas hopes to raise $3,500 through Kickstarter to manufacture the cards on a large scale; so far he has raised $400.
