Many cafes now serve pet-friendly "puppacinos," and this practice is expanding beyond the beverage industry with A&W becoming the first Canadian quick-service restaurant to offer a Pup Patty specifically for dogs. For a limited time in June, pet parents are invited to visit a local A&W drive-thru and treat their dogs to a $2 Pup Patty—prepared without A&W's signature seasoning so that pets can safely appreciate the taste of premium grass-fed beef.
With the introduction of Pup Patties, A&W is the first Canadian burger chain to launch a menu item dedicated to dog parents and their pets. What's more, a portion of the proceeds from every Pup Patty purchased from June 10th to 23rd will be donated to non-profit organizations in Canada that raise and train service dogs like the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society.
