Xbox is launching ‘Project Amplify,’ a program dedicated to helping Black youth who are interested in pursuing a career in the gaming industry. ‘Project Amplify’ aims to provide Black youth with the tools and education necessary to pursue a diverse selection of careers in gaming, while simultaneously providing them with advice on their current professions and individual journeys.
Following a recent poll that revealed that 95% of 200 students and alumni from Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the U.S. are interested in pursuing careers in the gaming business, Microsoft made the decision to launch this project. The tech and games giant hopes that through ‘Project Amplify,’ students will feel empowered and encouraged to further their dreams in gaming.
