In an effort to be more inclusive, gaming company Xbox recently debuted a new accessibility feature designed to accommodate players with disabilities. The brand is setting itself apart as one of the first mainstream digital storefronts to offer solutions for those with disabilities.
The new feature includes a landing hub designed to showcase the most accessible titles overall with specific tags such as "subtle option." Overall, there are 20 different categories spanning gameplay and audio to input and visuals that were developed thanks to feedback from disabled gamers, developers, and internal research.
In addition, Xbox is hoping to further raise awareness about hiring disabled employees with the launch of its free 100-level Gaming Accessibility Fundamentals Course on MS Learn later this month. The course offers practical skills and knowledge about the industry, specifically those interested in gaming accessibility.
