Amazon Will Launch a Prime Personal Shopping Service
Daniel Johnson — August 5, 2019 — Business
Amazon has launched a Prime personal shopping service through Prime Wardrobe. The service will cost customers an additional $5 on top of an Amazon Prime subscription. Through the Prime personal shopping service, Amazon Prime will assign a stylist to pick out different clothes based on the customer's tastes. Clothing selections are derived from a survey that customers will complete, where they will also have to provide measurements. After selections are made, customers will continue to communicate with the stylist, using the Amazon app, in order to fine-tune future suggestions.
The service is currently available to women, with a range of available sizes. Amazon has indicated that men's styles will roll out soon.
The service could be adopted by people who do not have time to shop and require others to make selections for them.
