Barvecue is introducing a 10,000 square foot production facility called the Carolina Smokehouse and it will produce wood-smoked, plant-based barbecue. The all-new Barvecue facility is set to open as of July 2021 and it will initially have the capacity to create "800,000 pounds per year of Barvecue's Pulled BVQ (with original sauce), Chopped BVQ (same as pulled, but gluten-free) and Naked versions of both (lightly seasoned, no sauce.)"
As Barvecue sees it, the demand for plant-based meat is only continuing to rise, along with requests for plant-based pork and wood-smoked, plant-based alternatives to meat, specifically.
Barvecue's current facility in Cornelius, North Carolina is in close proximity to what will become the world's largest plant-based smokehouse and it will become the brand's Innovation Center with the opening of the brand-new Carolina Smokehouse.
