To discourage the consumption of chicken wings during Super Bowl Sunday, this PETA chicken wings ad is being posted by the animal rights group around the hometowns of NFL football players, including Indianapolis (where this year's game is being held), New York City and Boston.

While eating chicken wings during a football game is a must-do for most Americans, PETA claims that just during the Super Bowl, about 600 million chickens are killed for their wings. Displaying the image of two small chicks, the PETA chicken wings ad says, "Let them keep their damn wings for one day, ok?" The ad also encourages consumer to visit PETA's site for vegan Super Bowl snack alternatives, including meatless 'Kickoff Chick'n' and 'MVP Meatballs.'
