Pepsi is getting into the holiday spirit this season with the interactive Pepsi vending machine.

The Pepsi vending machine challenges passersby to simple games like memory. If the challenger is victorious, they may redeem a beverage of their choice to send it to a friend by entering their information. The friend can then redeem the drink with the Pepsi code that is sent to them.

While this is not one of the first gift-giving vending machines, Pepsi's initiative gets into the holiday mood by creating a potential chain reaction, which encourages social interaction, sharing not only the drink, but word of an awesome machine as well. Unless the player decides to hoard all the winning drinks to themselves, the chain can potentially go full cycle. Unfortunately, these playful dispensers are only available in select locations in the United States.
