Peiqi Su created an unusual art installation called ‘The Penis Wall.’ The wall consists of 81 interactive, 3D-printed penises that can become erect, can dance and can oddly enough, translate stock market data.
Each penis works through six segments that are driven by server motors. They are also equipped with an ultrasonic distance sensor, so that they can respond to people who pass by. They are described as being “intelligent and thoughtful” because they react to any viewer’s body language.
Su was motivated to create the genitalia-filled wall by her want to study “one of the oldest and probably most attractive things that humans interact with.” These artificial genitals are even programmed to complete dance routines. One dance routine even “mimics ocean waves.”
