Pareid’s Installation is Located in a Lecture Theatre
Design studio Pareid recently debuted an immersive "organ-like installation" that filled the lecture theatre of the College of Architects of Madrid during Urvanity Art Fair's fourth edition. The striking design project was officially named 'Everywhere and Nowhere' and Pareid aimed to reference "the language of excess, fluidity, connectivity, and transmission."
For the red-hued organ-like installation, the design studio used PVC pipes and red neon lights. Its intent was to evoke the connection and transferential exchange of "physical matter and digital data across the globe." While Urvanity Art Fair lasted only three days—meaning that Pareid's sculptural involvement had to be quickly mounted and dismounted—the design studio donated all of its corrugated pipes from the installation to a small construction firm in a nearby local town.
