Patrón introduces 'Patrón Ahumado Silver' and 'Patrón Ahumado Reposado,' two new limited edition variations of the brand's tequila. With agave that has been mesquite charcoal toasted, 'Ahumado Silver' offers a "lingering smoky and smooth taste, with natural sweetness, balanced with notes of spices, black pepper, and cooked agave."
Ahumado Reposado, on the other hand, is characterized as being "smooth, sweet, smokey, and woody with flavors of black pepper and undertones of vanilla and caramel."
At Hacienda Patrón in Jalisco, Mexico, the agave piñas used to manufacture the spirits are roasted for seven days in underground stone pits using mesquite charcoal. The liquid is produced in small batches, with the agave being crushed through a tahona wheel distillation process to create its unique taste.
