'Outside The Box' is a Toronto-based volunteer-run program that offers free music education to local kids from seven to thirteen years old. This semester, in light of the World Cup, K’naan’s ‘Wavin’ Flag’ was on the curriculum.
The official FIFA World Cup anthem is powerful on its own, but with five adorable kids singing, this cover is especially moving. Because the kids from Outside The Box aren’t the next big thing (and have slightly off-tune voices, in that cuter-than-cute way that most kids do), but just love singing, they should be celebrated for their determination.
