OpTic Gaming and Spacestation Gaming Confirm Two Halo Tournaments

OpTic Gaming and Spacestation Gaming have teamed up to host two Halo tournaments ahead of the Year 2 Kickoff Major for the Halo Championship Series (HCS) in February 2023. Esports tournaments have proven to be a key area of interest for corporations attempting to enter the gaming category, and with the introduction of these events, many brands will have new opportunities to bolster their presence within the scene. OpTic will host an invitational tournament at the Esports Stadium Arlington, and Spacestation will host an online event in January 2023.

OpTic Gaming recently defeated Cloud9 in the 2022 Halo World Championship finals, solidifying the team’s talent and bringing in a whopping 143,585 live viewers at one point during the event. The HCS confirms that the Kickoff Major, which will take place from February 24–26, 2023, in Charlotte, North Carolina, will mark the start of the second year of competition. HCS's 2023 campaign will start off with Spacestation Gaming's ‘HCS Spartan Snowdown.’
