Rocket Lab recently obtained a new Launch Operator Licence from the Federal Aviation Administration. The new license will span five years and it permits Rocket Lab to launch its Electronic Rocket at the LC-1 launch site, located in New Zealand. The new Launch Operator License also dictates that the company does not need to seek individual clearance for each launch.
The new agreement will help Rocket Lab have more launches, previously the organization would have to seek clearance for each launch. Rocket Lab spoke on the new license and stated that it is a “Streamlined path to orbit." The ability to change launch timelines will allow the startup to be much more flexible with its future launches.
