Starlink, a satellite internet company, owned by Elon Musk's SpaceX, has officially launched a new at-home satellite dish that allows users to tap into the company's growing satellite constellation that is currently soaring in Earth's low orbit. The new dish, which comes in a lighter and thinner construction than the company's beta model, will now be included in all users' Starlink starter kits.
In addition, the satellite comes with a new router, which boasts improved MU-MIMO capabilities allowing the device to support three independent channels of simultaneous traffic. According to SpaceX, the company has already shipped out over 100,000 units of the beta version of the dish, which was released in August. Now, the updated version of the satellite will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis via the company's website.
