Harry's announced the winner of its Open Minds Initiative, a competition that searched for the next great idea to change the state of mental health in the United States. This year's winner is Team Changing Minds. The team is a collaboration between Futures without Violence, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
The winning team will launch a groundbreaking national network of mental health responders to help teens and young men recognize and overcome the challenges of mental health. The program will connect them with the appropriate resources for support and healing. More specifically, the effort will specialize in reaching young, male-identified youth and men and boys of color. By leveraging the wide appeal of video games and youth sports, the program will train over 2000,000 youth and adult mental health responders.
