FedEx and Walgreens have entered into a partnership in order to improve the online returns process for customers. The new agreement between the organizations dictates that customers will be able to leave items for an online return at Walgreens locations across the United States. Customers can also print shipping labels for online returns at a Walgreens location.
The collaboration is possible using FedEx Returns Technology, which is a platform that enables online sellers or online stores to provide a code to customers. Customers are then able to use the code at a Walgreens location to return a purchased item.
The partnership will help Walgreens, as it will increase foot traffic in its stores. A number of different brick and mortar stores have engaged in similar programs that are also intended to increase foot traffic.
