One Shared House 2030 is a playful research project produced by SPACE 10 and IKEA, that's asking the general public for information about personal limitations and expectations with regards to shared living spaces.
The two companies have been researching co-habitation buildings as a means of combating the rapidly increasing rate of urbanization, the lack of affordable housing and social issues such as loneliness and isolation. The companies state that by 2030, an expected 70% of the Global population will live in cities, however two billion people, nearly a fifth of the population, will lack access to affordable or adequate housing. This public questionnaire hopes to find answers to questions surrounding shared living spaces, in the hopes of finding a creative approach to solving the various social issues.
