These are some brilliant, topical pieces of street art, examples of artists taking to the streets to show their support for politics and world leaders. The large-scale Warhol President Lincoln example is truly fabulous.
Some of this Obama street art was clearly created before the election, such as the stencil example, but I don’t think that matters. Support is support. Street art will remain for as long as it ‘survives.'
I love the way these street artists managed to inject some humour into their pieces - the Pharoah and Superman Obama are total cases in point!
