Spain-based startup Nubhes has created a pair of shoes designed specifically for female drivers. The company is targeting women who find themselves changing from high heels to sneakers when driving. The shoes are meant to be stylish, functional and easy to put on. The Nubhes feature an anti-slip sole and don't use any Velcro or laces, making them easy to slip on an off. The shoes are thin and allow drivers to feel more of the pedals. Reflective material was added to the front of the shoe to make drivers more visible when exiting the car at night.
Nubhes could easily be accused of sexism if its shoe weren't so functional. Many people (men included) already wear gloves to help them drive, so why not shoes designed to make driving easier?
