The Secretive 'Nosigner' Brand Leaves Us Curious
Cowbag — March 28, 2009 — Art & Design
It appears it is not just graffiti artists that want to remain anonymous, now even furniture designers are trying to remain unnamed. These are all pieces from a fairly new brand called Nosigner. We know the he or she behind it is Japanese and, erm, that is it.
What we can say for certain is that the Nosigner collection rocks, and the mystery branding adds a really fresh spin on furniture design.
Implications - Especially in light of a world that seems to value oversharing and constant spewing of biographical information. Not only does this fly directly in the face of that unfortunate fad, it draws an interest from consumers and people like me who are curious about the mystery. Job well done, Nosigner. Job well done.
