British rock band Coldplay has recently released the Mylo Xyloto comic book series, which is inspired by their latest album of the same name. Considering that their music has an epic feel, it does not seem at all out of place for them to produce a story about "an Orwellian society ruled by a government dictatorship that rules by fear and over-stimulation through media and propaganda," as described on Fast Co. Design.
Conceived by the bandmates themselves, the Mylo Xyloto comic book series was co-written with Academy Award-nominated writer and director Mark Osborne and published by Matt Groening’s Bongo Comics Group. A new experience for fans, the Mylo Xyloto comic book series will be sold on Apple iBookstore. It is a six-part series that will be released each month until July.
