An ultra-minimalist Montreal house is the epitome of simplistic contemporary elegance. The building is characterized by a white facade and the brightly lit interior favors darker wood accents in order to offer a sophisticated contrast. Locally based design firm Appareil Architecture was commissioned to renovate the two-storey home, while also installing an extension that "acted as a 'luminous box.'"
The paired back Montreal house boasts a lounge living area that is open-plan. This ties in perfectly with the natural light-enhancing arrangement of the space. In addition, the interior of the home features barely any visible hardware in the kitchen which contributes to the vibe.
The modern family home definitely builds on the notion that 'less is more' and is able to establish its dominance as a stylish abode through minimalist design.
