Who says that a chair must be made from a single material? Certainly not the designer of the Mish Mash Chairs. Daniel Emma presents this utterly adorable pair of perches that defy your expectations to become wonderfully whimsical renditions of simple task or dining chairs.
Solid maple wood was used to construct the stable bases of the furnishings, and the same light lumber makes up the flat seats and the majority of the backrests. At this stage, both of the objects are alike, but then comes the addition of other quirky parts.
One of the Mish Mash Chairs becomes an armchair with the incorporation of a couple of U-shaped pieces of tubular aluminum. These are powder coated in bright red, while poured resin chair back extensions on each seat take much softer colors for a playful appearance.
